Innovative Design Concept

The design concept of the festival is "A thousand flowers bloom at night, and the lights go out", with a unified theme linking all venues. Under the guidance of this design concept, Illus perfectly integrates traditional Chinese imagery, Guangzhou elements and modern means, such as the four mythical beasts, ancient lanterns, and Lingnan's unique kapok and banyan trees, etc., and combines shadow puppets, hand shadows, lantern riddles and other popular forms of viewing and amusement, as well as popular sand paintings, animation images and other means to create a unique and unique light festival. Combined with the popular forms of viewing and amusement such as shadow puppets, hand puppets, lantern riddles and other popular means such as sand paintings and animation images, the festival creates a unique light festival with cultural connotations.

Intelligent Lighting Technology

Illus uses a lot of intelligent lighting equipment such as multimedia digital computer lights, projection lights, laser lights and other intelligent lighting equipment in the festival. These devices not only provide revolutionary tools for artistic creation, but also expand the creative space, making the light show more diverse and vivid. Through these technologies, Illus realizes innovative light art forms such as the dynamic light sculpture of the Tree of Life, the façade projection show of the museum and library, as well as the sand painting and hand shadow show, which greatly enhances the shocking power and interactivity of the viewing experience.

Emphasis on interaction and participation

Illus pays special attention to the fun and interactive design of the light festival, such as the interactive ground projection and hand shadow performance, to guide the audience to actively participate and become part of the show. The audience is not only an appreciator of the light show, but also a participant in it. This design greatly enriches the interactive experience between the audience and the light and shadow, and enhances the attractiveness and infectious force of the light festival.

Design for local conditions

Illus took into full consideration the existing conditions of Huacheng Plaza's building façade, garden paths, and water features, and set up installations in the form of projections, corridors displaying ancient lamps, and plants in the water. Through this site-specific design, light is organically combined with architecture and landscape to create a harmonious and unified visual effect, making the light festival not only a festival but also a part of the cityscape.
